Is your skin breaking out? It may be your makeup…

Hey guys!

I just want to take a minute and talk about break outs. Our skin is the biggest organ on our bodies and we need to treat it well!

When shopping for cosmetics, it’s important to know what is in the product. I myself have sensitive skin and get clogged pores that turn into blemishes with certain makeup brands. It can be avoided!

Here are a list of chemicals to avoid when looking for cosmetics:

1. BHA and BHT

2. Coal tar dyes: p-phenylenediamine and colours listed as “CI” followed by a five digit number

4. Dibutyl phthalate

5. Formaldehyde-releasing preservatives

6. Parabens

7. Parfum (a.k.a. fragrance)

8. PEG compounds

9. Petrolatum

10. Siloxanes

11. Sodium laureth sulfate

12. Triclosan

Just something to think about! Happy Blogging!
